Boys 7th Grade Football vs. Lewis and Clark Middle School

Tigers Lose: 6 - 20
The 7th football team traveled to Jefferson City Thursday night to face Lewis and Clark. The offense had trouble initially, but were sparked by hard running from #27 Antonio Mallory and #38 Dareek Smith. All football fans know that the running game is only as good as the offensive line, and that was the case for this game. #67 Wilking, #69 Kirby, #71 Collins, #72 Oursler, #75 Sheppard helped open holes and fullback Braylin Scott cleaned up any leftovers. The Tigers lone touchdown was a 40yd run by Mallory. The defense held strong for the whole game keeping L&C to just two touchdowns until the final seconds leaving the score at 20-6. The Tigers will be at home on Thursday 10/3 against Thomas Jefferson of JC.

Tigers Lose: 0 - 14
The 7th football Tigers opened the 2019 season against the visiting Bolivar Liberators. The Liberators took the opening kickoff in for an early touchdown to take an 8-0 lead. After that, it was a story of defenses for both teams. Bolivar was able to keep the Tigers out of the end zone despite strong running from Dareek Smith and Luke Cassidy. Defensively, Michael Kelsey had an interception to end a Bolivar drive. Leading playmakers on the defense were Anthony Cortesini, Isak Alavanja, Isaiah Hopper, and Jewitt Hill. The Tigers finished the game with a score of 0-14 and look to prepare for Lewis&Clark at Jefferson City on September 26.
