Bookend Performance Leads Lady Tigers

Bookends most often look identical, but not at last night's Waynesville 57-32 girls basketball win over Glendale. The bookends were 6-3 Callie Bildner and 5-6 RaShawna Stone, not exactly a perfect match. But what made them bookends against Glendale was their scoring line. Each sank two free throws, one three-point shot and, and seven two-pointers for their 19 point performances. They were simply too much for the young Falcons to handle.
WHS led the entire game, but could never put the pesky Springfield team away until the fourth quarter when they outscored the visitors 17-8. Waynesville's guards forced numerous turnovers in the second half as Glendale managed only two field goals in those sixteen minutes. Waynesville moved it's Ozark Conference record to 2-1 with the win.
