Waynesville Tennis got off to a rough start with a 0-9 loss to Lebanon. After graduating 8 seniors last year and 2 relocated with the military, we are starting off with a brand new team this year. With only three Varsity returners, we are definitely in the middle of a building year. Doubles partners Lindzie King (soph.) and Paige Massey (sr.) started off the night with an exciting match, just barely falling, 6-8. One of the longest matches of the night, the girls came out fired up and ready to go. Completing together for the first time, these girls really complemented each other well and worked well as a team. I've never seen two girls communicate so well with each other for their first match together. After playing for an hour and half, Massey then returned to the court for her singles match and came out fighting for the first match of her senior year. Again, just falling to Lebanon 6-8, her and her opponent fought neck and neck through the whole match.
