Hillcrest, sporting one of its best teams in memory, ended a 12-year, 13-game losing streak to Waynesville in girls soccer Thursday night, 1-0 at Tiger Stadium. The winning goal came on a nice shot with 17:15 remaining. The Lady Tigers dominated the game early, but their shots weren't on goal. There were two good scoring chances in the second half; one by Sierra Zadravecz on a break away along the right side that was saved, and the second when Emily Anderson put one just above the crossbar. Lexie Timmins came up with a huge defensive save in the first half to keep the game scoreless at halftime.
